Hello there. My name is Charlie Dickson, and I am an aspiring writer, adventurer, bushman, and musician. It seems you have stumbled across my personal website. It is here you will find commentary, investigation, and perhaps some pros, if I am feeling bold. Now, dear visitor, do not expect this website to be overly agreeable; you may find many aspects contentious. But alas.. I love contention. I am not the type to run away from hard subjects, and your level of comfort on this website will be somewhat dependent on your ability to 'follow the tracks' with me into great unknown

Follow the Tracks is a dumping ground for various self-published jottings, as well as my works in publications such as the Atikokan Progress, and Imprint. I am rather eclectic in interests, writing about Canadian history, geopolitics, technology, individual heroism, natural resources, and social growth/decay. Readers may often hear a certain frustration in my tone, and that, honestly, is usually a fair assessment of my psychology, as, although I am often jovial in public, there is a deep sense of tension within my brain, tension that can only be resolved (if, at all) through expression.
Regarding the most meaningful books, novels, manifestos, and essays I have ever read.

Hello everyone. I would like to announce that, after long last, a book that I edited and compiled (with help from my brother) has been published through Friesen Press, a self publishing house in based in Manitoba. It is titled 'What Canadians Said in 2025: A Yearbook of Public Opinion and Perspective'. Though the title may speak for itself, in essence, the purpose of this book was to preserve the national Zeitgeist (or, 'spirit of the age') within a variety of fields and subjects, such as culture, economy, international affairs, sport, art, and more. In simpler terms, it is a compilation of Canadian quotes from 2025! I toiled to make it plenty interesting and (though this was difficult) representative and (as much as I could) unbiased.
If you are interested in getting a copy, you can buy it right on Friesen's website, and have it shipped to your door. Obviously, the cost of raw materials, including those that create books, is high, and I do not relish in charging more than $20. But alas, twas' the only way. There is also an e-book, but - I say quite biasedly - that is less cool.
Miscellaneous videos that I have created or am included in.
I am a sensitive young man, after all..
